FRAME

Built of steel tube, drop forged steel ball head, steel connecting joints and steel cradle plates. Bolt on seat stays with drawback type chain stays for rear wheel adjustment.

FORKS

Spring Forks. (Regd. No 546796/09.) Perfect steering giving complete insulation from road vibration at any speed.

WHEELS

Detachable and interchangeable wheels equally suitable for front, rear and sidecar. Specially strong steel rims for beaded tyres. 10 gauge nipples and double butted spokes. Weatherproof ball-bearing hubs. Tyres Dunlop Cord 700 x 80.

BRAKES

Front operated by lever on right handlebar. Rear foot operated acting on drum.

MUDGUARDS

Rear with patent combined number plate and hinged rear guard extension for rapid removal of wheel. Front with metal side extensions. Number plates on front mudguard and rear guard extension.

FOOTBOARDS

Aluminium.

CARRIER

(Regd Design No. 567465.) Tubular frame. Steel plate in centre space.

TANKS

Petrol 2gallon, no-splash filler cap 2in diameter. Oil tank capacity 3 pints. Quick detachable filler cap. Spring-loaded pump operated by pedal.

ENGINE

50 degree V twin, 85mm bore x 88mmstroke x 2 cylinders = 998cc. Connecting rod Drop Forged Steel, hardened and ground to receive roller bearings. Crankshaft supported by ball bearings. Fly wheels from solid steel drop forgings.

MAGNETO

High tension positive drive. Vernier adjustment. Totally enclosed and weatherproof. Bosch.

CARBURETTOR

Senspray, two leaver control.

GEARBOX

Rudge Four Speed, double helical teeth always in mesh. Roller and ball bearings throughout with Kick Starter enclosed in gear box.

TRANSMISSION

By roller chain 5/8 inch pitch x 3/8 inch wide from engine to gearbox and from gearbox to back wheel. Aluminium chain cover and chain guard. Standard gears: 4 to 1, 5.72 to 1, 8.84 to 1 and 13.04 to 1.
