FORKS

WHEELS

Specially strong steel rims for beaded tyres. 10 gauge nipples and double butted spokes. Weatherproof ball-bearing hubs. Tyres three rib beaded edge Dunlop 650 x 65 mm with two securing bolts.

BRAKES

Front rim operated by lever on right handlebar. Rear foot operated acting on exterior belt drum.

MUDGUARDS

Rear with patent combined number plate and hinged rear guard extension for rapid removal of wheel. Front with metal side extensions. Number plates on front mudguard and rear guard extension.

CARRIER

(Regd Design No. 567465.) Tubular frame. Steel plate in centre space. Metal tray with side extensions for tool boxes.

TANKS

Petrol 2 gallon, no-splash filler cap 2in diameter. Oil tank capacity 3 pints. Quick detachable filler cap. Spring-loaded pump operated by pedal.

ENGINE

Single cylinder 85 mm bore x 88 mm stroke = 499 cc. Connecting rod from drop forged steel, hardened and ground to receive roller bearings. Crankshaft supported by Ball bearings. Fly Wheels from solid steel drop forgings.

MAGNETO

High tension positive drive. Totally enclosed and weatherproof. Options available: BTH Magneto or ML Magneto.

CARBURETTOR

Senspray, two lever control.

GEAR SYSTEM

Rudge 3 Speed gear box.

TRANSMISSION

Chain: 5/8 x 3/8. engine to gearbox and from gearbox to back wheel. Chain cover and chain guard.

CLUTCH

Rudge main shaft plate clutch.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Large expansion chamber with extension pipe to the rear.

SADDLE

Large padded seat.

STANDS

Rear, foot operated automatic spring return. Front, folding stand to front wheel supports front mudguard.

PUMP

18-inch celluloid tyre inflator with long rubber connection and ground supports.
